What is Model United Nation?

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation and/or academic activity in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations.

MUN involves and teaches participants speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Usually an extracurricular activity, some schools also offer Model UN as a class. It is meant to engage students and allow them to develop deeper understanding into current world issues

G.D. Goenka Public School is a k12 school based in Lucknow, India from where I completed my senior secondary schooling. The school believes in all round development of students studying there, hence conducts a lot of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, G.D. Goenka Public School Model United Nations (GDGPSMUN) is one of such events.

What sets GDGPSMUN apart from other activities of schol is that, it is a completely student managed program. From getting registration to finding sponsors, we experience everything.
